Job Description
The Executive Director will provide overall strategic, operational, financial, and program leadership for the organization. The role requires a dynamic and experienced professional capable of leading NGO operations, strengthening partnerships, managing donor-funded programs, supervising teams, and driving sustainable organizational growth and impact within communities.
The Executive Director will serve as the primary representative of the organization and ensure that all programs align with the organization’s mission, donor expectations, and community needs.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Management
>Provide strategic direction and leadership for the organization
>Develop and implement organizational strategies, policies, and operational plans
>Ensure effective coordination of all programs and activities
>Lead organizational growth and sustainability initiatives
>Support development of annual operational plans and budgets
Program Oversight
>Oversee implementation of all projects and interventions
>Ensure projects are delivered effectively, efficiently, and within timelines
>Monitor program quality, impact, and compliance
>Support proposal development and donor reporting
Stakeholder Engagement
>Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, government agencies, CSOs, healthcare stakeholders, and community leaders
>Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public engagements
>Strengthen partnerships and collaboration opportunities
Financial & Administrative Oversight
>Ensure financial accountability and compliance
>Supervise financial management and procurement processes
>Oversee administrative operations and organizational systems
Team Leadership
>Supervise and mentor staff members
>Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional development
>Ensure effective performance management systems
>Provide strategic direction and leadership for the organization

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
Master’s Degree is strongly preferred
Minimum of 7–10 years relevant experience within NGOs, development organizations, or public health programs
Minimum of 4 years in a leadership or managerial role
Experience managing donor-funded projects
Strong understanding of NGO operations and compliance systems
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
Strong proposal writing and fundraising experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong budgeting and project management skills
Ability to work effectively in multicultural and community-based environments
Knowledge of public health and immunization programs
Experience working within Kaduna State or Northern Nigeria
Ability to speak Hausa is an added advantage
Strong analytical and organizational skills
